Polls have opened today in Rwanda for presidential and parliamentary elections.
Rwandan president, Paul Kagame will be on ballot with leader of the democratic green party, frank Habineza, and independent candidate, Philippe Mpayimana.
meanwhile, prominent critics Riane Rwigara, leader of the people salvation movement was barred from standing in today’s election.
recall that Kagame is seeking rre-election for his fourth term in office and has been Rwanda’s leader since year 2000.
