PRESIDENCY CLEARS AIR ON PRESIDENT TINUBU MINISERIAL POST

The Presidency has cleared the air over claims that President Bola Tinubu assigned himself as the minister of petroleum.

Special adviser to President Tinubu on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga made the clarification while featuring on a recent televised program.

According to Onanuga, the current administration has two ministers of petroleum, with one of them focusing on gas.

This was as he recalled a recent statement by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who lamented that he made a huge mistake by not focusing on gas during his tenure, an error which according to the presidential spokesman, President Tinubu is trying to avoid.

Speaking further, Onanuga noted that the president is not overseeing the petroleum ministry, but rather is supervising all his ministers as he is in charge of everything.
