The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has signed the 2024 supplementary budget of the state as well as the bill providing for the expansion of the board of the Ondo state oil producing areas development commission, osopadec into law.
The supplementary budget of 96.788 billion naira, as approved by the state house of assembly, was signed by Aiyedatiwa at the executive council chambers of the governor’s office bringing the total budget for 2024 to a total of 492 billion naira.
Aiyedatiwa stated that the move became a necessity in order to meet new financial commitments of the state government.
According to report, the supplementary budget covered the payment of the new minimum wage of 73,000 naira recently approved for workers by governor as well as the salaries of newly recruited workers within various sectors of the state economy.
