NORTH WEST SECURITY SUMMIT HOLDS IN KATSINA

PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU ABLY REPRESENTED BY VICE PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA WAS PRESENT AT THE INAUGURAL SECURITY SUMMIT ORGANISED BY THE NORTH-WEST GOVERNORS’ FORUM IN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME, UNDP HOSTED IN KATSINA STATE.

PRESENT AT THE OCCASION, WAS THE FORMER PRESIDENT, MUHAMMADU BUHARI ALONGSIDE GOVERNORS OF KATSINA, KANO, JIGAWA, SOKOTO, ZAMFARA, AND KEBBI STATES.

SPEAKING AT THE EVENT, THE RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNDP, ELSIE ATTAFUAH NOTED THAT THE SUMMIT IS GEARED TOWARDS PROMOTING DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE IN THE REGION.

SHE ALSO SPOKE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPMENT IN SUSTAINING PEACE AND SECURITY.

MEANWHILE, THE HOST GOVERNOR DIKKO RADDA DISCLOSED THE MORALE BEHIND THE SOUTH WEST GOVERNORS FORUM.

HE FURTHER HIGHLITED DISCLOSED FUTURE PLANS OF THE FORUM.

VICE PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA IN HIS SPEECH INSISTED THAT SECURITY IN THE REGION AND NIGERIA AS A WHOLE HAS BEEN A PRIORITY OF THE PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU LED ADMINISTRATION.

HE FURTHER NOTED THAT EVERY PART OF THE NATION MUST BE SECURE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE NATIONAL UNITY.
