A group of Nigerian students in the United Kingdom have decried the devaluation of naira which they said had led to their dismissal from campus after finding it difficult to offset tuition fees.
The Teesside University undergraduates also lamented that they were about facing deportation as a result of the development.
The late payment of tuition fees has led to a breach of visa sponsorship requirements.
As a result, some of the students were blocked from their studies, reported to the Home Office, and ordered to leave the UK.
The university claimed it had no choice but to take this action, citing strict external regulations.
