The government of Lagos state has shut down several businesses in key areas of the state as a way to tackle noise, air pollution, and other environmental infractions in the state.
the state environment and water resources minister, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this today in a statement on x saying the move comes after a recently conducted comprehensive enforcement operation those areas.
according to him, despite prior warnings, several establishments, including hotels, bar, gas filling station, poultry farms, and lounge, continued to flout the state environmental protection agency’s directives.
