A Kano state high court has today given the state independent electoral commission, Kansaic, the go-ahead to conduct tomorrow local government election.
granting the permission, justice Sunusi ado maaji who presided over the jugdement affirmed that his judgement and that of the federal high court presided over by justice Simon Amobede have concurrent jurisdiction over the matter at hand.
speaking on the latest judgement, the legal counsel to the commission, Muntari Dandago who is also commissioner of legal voters matters of Kansaic, said the judgment is a landmark one which affirmed their powers to conduct the election.
