GOV OYEBANJI DISSOLVES EKITI UNITED, EKITI QUEENS

EKITI STATE GOVERNOR, BIODUN OYEBANJI HAS DISSOLVED THE STATE OWNED MALE AND FEMALE FOOTBALL TEAMS, NAMELY EKITI UNITED FC AND EKITI QUEENS FC.

THIS WAS MADE KNOWN BY THE OFFICE OF THE TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO EKITI STATE GOVERNOR ON SPORTS DEVELOPMENTS, DR OLUSOLA OSETOBA.

OSETOBA APPROVED AND ANNOUNCED THE DISSOLUTION OF THE MANAGEMENT, TECHNICAL AND PLAYING STAFF OF BOTH TEAMS AHEAD OF NEXT SEASON’S FOOTBALL LEAGUES.

THIS IS CONTAINED IN A STATEMENT SIGNED BY THE T.A ON SPORTS DEVELOPMENT, WHO EXPLAINED THAT THE DEVELOPMENT WAS NECESSARY IN THE STATE GOVERNMENT’S QUEST TO REPOSITION AND RESTRUCTURE THE TWO STATE FOOTBALL TEAMS.

THE DISSOLUTION TAKES IMMEDIATE EFFECT AS SHE WISHES ALL CONCERNED INDIVIDUALS BEST IN THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVOURS.

IT IS IN TANDEM WITH THE VISION OF HIS EXCELLENCY, GOVERNOR BIODUN OYEBANJI TO DEVELOP, REPOSITION AND RESTRUCTURE SPORTS IN EKITI STATE.

RETAINED PLAYERS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN DUE COURSE WHILE VACANT POSITIONS FOR STAFF WILL BE ADVERTISED IN THE COMING WEEKS.

THE GOVERNOR’S AIDE THANKED EVERY INDIVIDUAL FOR THE EFFORTS , SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE RECENTLY CONCLUDED NNL 2023/24 SEASON AND NWFL (PREMIER) 2023/24

SHE ASSURED THAT THE DECISION IS AIMED AT FACILITATING A WELL-STRUCTURED AND COORDINATED PREPARATIONS FOR THE NEXT FOOTBALL SEASON .
