The Federal government’s technical subcommittee on Dam evaluation has assured the public that the Gubi Dam in Bauchi state is in satisfactory condition, following an inspection recently.
the subcommittee, led by the director of dams and reservoir operations at the ministry of water resources, Aliyu Ibrahim, conducted the assessment as part of a nationwide evaluation of dams.
speaking to journalists after the inspection, Ibrahim said that the reason for the evaluation of the dams across the country follows the collapse of a structure in the Alau dam in Borno state.
