FEMI BAMISILE ENCOURAGES EKITI YOUTHS TO PARTICIPATE IN STUDENT LOAN SCHEME

THE LAWMAKER REPRESENTING EKITI SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY II IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, FEMI BAMISILE, HAS CALLED ON STUDENTS OF EKITI STATE ORIGIN IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS TO PARTAKE IN THE STUDENTS’ LOAN SCHEME PROVIDED BY THE NIGERIAN EDUCATION LOAN FUND (NELFUND).

BAMISILE WHO IS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON DELEGATED LEGISLATION, DESCRIBED THE LOAN INITIATIVE OF THE PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU’S ADMINISTRATION AS A STRATEGY TO REDUCE SCHOOL DROPOUTS AND CREATE A BALANCE BETWEEN THE STUDENTS FROM RICH AND POOR BACKGROUNDS.

THE LAWMAKER, WHO SPOKE ON A LIVE PROGRAMME IN ADO EKITI TODAY, NAMED EDUCATION THE MOST THRIVING INDUSTRY IN THE STATE AND EXPRESSED OPTIMISM IN A HIGH TURNOUT OF EKITI STUDENTS ENROLMENT AMONG THE BENEFICIARIES COMPILED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

AMONG OTHER ISSUES OF NATIONAL CONCERN, BAMISILE APPLAUDED THE N550 BILLION POVERTY HUMANITARIAN SCHEMES BEING PUT FORTH BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO MITIGATE THE EFFECT OF INFLATION ON THE PEOPLE AND CALLED ON THE GOVERNMENT TO TARGET UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS IN ORDER TO REDUCE POVERTY AND CRIMINAL TENDENCIES AMONG THE YOUNG POPULATION.
