The prime minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas has handed in her resignation to president alar Karis today at the presidential palace in the capital, Tallinn.
Kallas, who was Estonia’s first female prime minister, resigned as she is set to become the foreign policy chief of the European union later this year.
according to reports, prior to her dropping the baton, the former Pm has been one of Europe’s most vocal backers of Ukraine following the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022.
