The Nigeria labour congress, NLC has issued a December 1 ultimatum to state governments for the implementation of the new minimum wage for workers in the country.
NLC president, Joe Ajaero in a communique signed at the end of the national executive council meeting, held in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, expressed dissatisfaction over the delay by some states to implement the new wage.
This was as he lamented that workers in affected states were finding it difficult to sustain themselves given the worsening state of the economy.
Speaking further, Ajaero called on the government to embark on a wage review and immediately implement concrete interventions that would relieve the sufferings of Nigerian workers.
