Many reactions have trailed the federal government, decision through the Nigeria immigration service, NIS to increase passport fees.
this was as netizens expressed disappointment at the development, affecting Nigerian standard passport, while they lamented that the current administration have done no good to the nation.
recall that the federal government had recently announced upward review of the passport fees saying it is necessary to maintain its quality and integrity.
meanwhile, the increased fee which will be effective from September 1, this year will see the cost of 32 page passport booklet with five year validity which was previously charged at 35,000 naira increased to 50,000 naira.
