OYEGUN FLAGS OFF APC REGISTRATION EXERCISE IN EKITI.
The national Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Chief John Oyegun yesterday flagged off the continous membership registration exercise of the party in Ekiti.
Chief Oyegun while inaugurating the committee in charge of the exercise at the party secretariat in Ado Ekiti said the intent of his visit was to flag off the registration exercise and also to evaluate the support of the Ekiti people to the party.
He emphatically assured the numerous party faithfuls that the primaries will be free and fair and called on all aspirants to be peaceful in their campaigns and generally work towards ensuring victory for the APC in the July polls.
Earlier, state Chairman of the party, Chief Jide Awe urged the National Executives to prevent any imposition of candidate, free and fair primaries and also provide clarity on the national social security programme
Speaking at the event, National Organising Secretary of the party, Senator Osita Chinaso urged the five member team headed by Barr. Awele Nwoko to ensure registration of new members and revalidate the status of existing members within one week.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the APC, South West, Chief Segun Oni , Minister of Mines and steel development,Dr Kayode Fayemi, former Ekiti governor, Chief Niyi Adebayo amongst other party leaders.
