Ekiti State Government has directed kingmakers in Otun-Ekiti to select a new king for the vacant stool of Oore of Mobaland from qualified princes of Ile-Iyaba Ruling House in line with 1961 Declaration.

In a letter issued on Friday, 24th April, 2020 by Secretary of Moba Local Government, Ariyo M.O noted that the selection of quality candidate is exclusively on Ile-Iyaba Ruling House within 14 days and urged Kingmakers to stick to it.

With this directives the five Otun-Ekiti Kingmakers are expected to select quality prince from the ruling house in compliance with rotation principle among the five ruling houses.

The Immediate Oore of Mobaland – Oba Adedapo Oladele Popoola joined his ancestors on the 21st October 2019 at the age of 62.
