Minimum wage: Labour rejects FG’s proposal
The negotiation committee set up by the Federal Government to negotiate the consequential adjustment arising from the N30,000 new minimum wage has rejected what the government is offering.
The committee, which was inaugurated on May 14, has also failed to meet the four-week deadline to submit its report.

Gorilla ‘swallowed’ N6.8 million’, says Kano zoo accounts officer
A gorilla at the Kano Zoological Gardens is being accused of ‘swallowing‘ N6.8 million cash realized from gate takings during last week’s Eid el Fitri.
An accounts officer at the zoo claimed that the gorilla sneaked into an office where the money was kept and then proceeded to ‘swallow’ it.

Security: Makinde may lift ban on Oyo NURTW next week
Indication emerged on Friday that the ban placed on the activities of members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Union (NURTW) by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State might be lifted anytime next week.
The word of assurance was given by the NURTW National President, Alhaji Nojeem Yasin while addressing journalists after a meeting with the Governor at the Agodi Government Secretariat, Ibadan.
