

Wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has donated a brand new Hilux Van, laptop, printer, and other valuables to the Juvenile and Women Centre of the Ekiti State Police Command.
The vehicle is to enable the police ensure swift rescue of victims of sexual violence and Gender Based Violence to the Moremi clinic(SARC)
Presenting the items at the Office of the First Lady in Ado-Ekiti, Erelu Fayemi said the gesture was part of her support to the Nigeria Police Force, Ekiti State Command in the fight against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.
She tasked the Command to ensure that the items were effectively and efficiently utilized.
The First Lady further assured the Command of her supports afterwards.
In his response, the Deputy Commisioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration, DCP John Ayuba Babangida, on behalf of the Command, appreciated the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi and the First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for continuously supporting Ekiti State Police Command.
According to him, the Command shall continue to work closely with the Office of the First Lady, FIDA and other relevant agencies to ensure that the fight against the current reoccurring incidence of sexual and gender based violence is successfully won.
