The academic staff union of universities (ASUU) has kicked against the reopening of schools by the federal government due to the covid-19 pandemic currently ravaging the country.
ASUU national president, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, told newsmen in Ota, Ogun that the federal government needs to address the challenges in the education sector before considering the reopening of schools.
Ogunyemi urged the Federal Government to provide an ideal environment and take measures aimed at meeting the conditions spelt out by the Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC) before reopening schools.
