Reports emerged last month claiming that the four-time Ballon d’Or winner wanted out of the Spanish capital following accusations of tax evasion to the tune of almost £13m.
The 32-year-old was understood to be angry at his treatment at the hands of the Spanish authorities, and his decision to leave put a number of Europe’s top clubs on high alert.
However, AS claims that Ronaldo’s stance has since softened and he is now open to the idea of staying with the Spanish and European champions.
Ronaldo is Real Madrid’s leading all-time goalscorer with a staggering 406 goals in just 394 appearances.
