The Ashura procession of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria also known as Shi’ites was disrupted this morning in the Bakin Ruwa area of Kaduna State as three members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, were reportedly killed by the police.
Members of the sect led by incarcerated Ibrahim El Zakzaky had made good their threat to go on with the procession despite a ban imposed by the Nigerian Police Force.
Police Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, however, dismissed reports of the killing as false.
